Here’s how our assessments work:
Our coaches are continually assessing your child using a skill matrix for each level.
Progressing to the next level: Coaches will advise you when they’ve identified that your child is ready for the next level.
Certificates are presented at the end of the class to those students who have progressed levels.
A friendly reminder: Children progress and improve within a level. Not going up a level does not signify failure or lack of improvement. Progress has simply occurred within the scope of the level. Every child develops at their own rate. It’s not possible to predict how long it will take to complete a level. They will have periods of rapid progress and times where development is slower.
Save the date!
2019 Balwyn Gymnastics Club Championships will be held Saturday 29 - Sunday 30 June.
Our annual Club Championships event is a fantastic opportunity for our gymnasts to celebrate their progress and achievements!
This 2 day competition style event will allow both our squad and recreational gymnasts to show off their skills and routines to parents, friends and families with all proceeds going to YMCA Open Doors Charity
More information will be handed out to classes during the first weeks of May
New Balwyn Gymnastic Club Hoodies and T-shirts have been ordered and will be available for purchase during Term 2!
All items are available in a range of sizes and can be purchased from Boroondara Sports Complex reception.
Unfortunately with a few of our coaches completing university placements and extended holidays over the next Term, your child’s regular coach may be different for a few weeks of the Term.
In these situations we try our best to ensure there is a consistent coach through the period of absence to minimise any disruptions to classes.
